Presentation Formats

Oral Presentation

This format allows for 15 minutes of individual presentation, followed by a discussion moderated by the session chairperson.

Symposia and panel discussions

Each symposium will be organized by a Chairperson and consist of four (4) presentations on a common topic of interest. 

A panel discussion consists of short answers of 4 or 5 participants to questions asked by the chairperson and a discussion between them indicating similar or different points of view, the possibility of expanding or deepening the topic, looking from a different point of view etc.

Symposium/panel contributors must come from institutions in at least three (3) different countries. The symposium/panel organizer will play the role of chairperson.

The organizer is responsible for submitting the symposium/panel title and an abstract for the overall symposium/panel, as well as providing the name and contact details of the participants. The abstracts of the four individual presentations  on symposium must be submitted by their authors.

Interactive Poster Presentation

Each poster presentation will feature a graphic display of a good practice example or research study, sized 80cm x 120cm in vertical format. A brief 3-minute oral presentation will be given by the authors to the public. Following the presentations, an in-depth discussion may take place between the authors and the audience around the poster displays. Poster sessions foster deeper, individual  interaction and discussion.

ICT and Lab Demonstrations and Workshops

Demonstrations and workshops allow presenters to showcase, explain, and familiarize participants with an innovative approach, teaching and learning method or tool. While these sessions may include a brief introduction, the main focus is on interactivity,  reflective discussion and co-creation.

PechaKucha

Presentation PechaKucha (Japanese: ぺちゃくちゃ) is a storytelling format in which a presenter shows 20 slides, mostly consisting of visual elements - pictures, photos, and diagrams - for 20 seconds per slide, totaling 6 minutes and 40 seconds. This format allows both the presenter and the audience to stay focused on the subject being presented.
