The first EuroVariety conference was organized at the Jagiellonian University in Kraków in 2005 as the European counterpart to the Variety in Chemistry Education (ViCE) conference, held under the auspices of the Royal Society of Chemistry's Higher Education Group (UK). The event attracted 89 participants from 21 countries, featuring 6 plenary lectures, 39 oral presentations, and 35 poster sessions.
From its inception, the EuroVariety conference has been one of the key initiatives of the EuChemS Division of Chemical Education. In the following years, we have held the conference in various countries, with the aim of facilitating participation for chemistry lecturers from local and national universities.
