The EuroVariety Conference provides a unique networking opportunity for individuals involved in academic teaching and learning, and committed to ensuring high quality of education. To facilitate these interactions, the social program includes a Welcome Reception/Get Together event on Tuesday, as well as a Conference Dinner/Gala on Wednesday. In addition, "Creative Spaces" offer a platform - free for all attendees - to connect and exchange ideas.
During the conference, attendees will have the opportunity to visit the mini Museum of the Faculty of Chemistry.

After the conference, we invite you to join one of the free guided tours to the following locations: the Jagiellonian University Museum at Collegium Maius (located in the downtown) or the Nature Education Centre of the Jagiellonian University (located on Campus) or the Solaris National Synchrotron Radiation Center (located on Campus).
Nature Education Center
Documenting scientific research involved, among other activities, the collection of specimens, including zoological, geological, anthropological, and paleobotanical artifacts. Since the merging of these collections in 2015, the Nature Education Center has served as a platform for implementing the educational and scientific programs of the Jagiellonian University, initiating various forms of activity in nature education, and promoting the natural and exact sciences within society.

SOLARIS
SOLARIS NSRC is a national science center providing open access to research infrastructure. As a unique source of synchrotron radiation in Central Europe, it opens new perspectives in many areas of basic and applied research, offering a wide spectrum of modern research techniques. SOLARIS NSRC is a platform for the development of national and international cooperation, as well as an incubator of new technologies.

Jagiellonian University Museum at Collegium Maius
Collegium Maius, the oldest university building in Poland, is home to a small yet significant museum that safeguards the treasures of the Jagiellonian University. Its unique exhibits capture the history, art, and scholarly achievements of the university’s community over the centuries.

In addition, a few hundred meters from the Faculty of Chemistry, you can take a walk around the former Zakrzówek quarry. Since 1906, limestone rocks were mined here. Today, this artificial lake is a popular recreational area for residents and tourists. You can swim or dive in the stunning turquoise waters, either in open areas or in artificial pools within the lake.

⚠️ A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Come early: On sunny weekends, queues can stretch long before 10:00 due to the 600-person limit (free entrance, no reservations possible)
⏰Opening Hours (Summer 2025) - floating pools: Tuesday to Sunday: 8:00–18:00, Monday: 14:00–18:00 (maintenance in the morning)
Bring your own water and snacks, although food trucks and a small café operate near the entrance.
Five floating pools: ranging from 40 cm to 3.5 m in depth, life guards, no shade
Open lake access is available for confident swimmers—entrance by the Diving Centre (7.00-22.00)
